It was with great enthusiasm that our team embarked on the Resin Bound Driveway Install project for Mike, who sought our expertise due to concerns over the safety hazards posed by the deteriorated condition of his existing concrete and tarmac driveway.
Resin Bound Driveway Install: A Transformation Story
This project wasn’t merely about constructing a driveway; it was about a comprehensive transformation aimed at addressing safety while enhancing the visual appeal of Mike’s property. The journey to rejuvenation began with the meticulous removal of the old driveway surface, a process undertaken with the utmost respect for Mike’s property and with unwavering professionalism by our team.
Delving deeper into the project, our team excavated the site to a depth of 270mm, ensuring the complete removal of outdated materials, thereby setting a clean slate for the installation. The next phase involved laying new edging where necessary, which served as a crucial boundary and structural support for the driveway.
Central to this transformation was the preparation of the foundation, which entailed compacting 120mm of 803 stone to create a sturdy base. This was followed by the application of 120mm of permeable concrete, a critical layer that ensures durability and sustainability. The final touch, and perhaps the most transformative, was the application of 20mm of resin bound surfacing. This layer not only provides a smooth, durable finish but also contributes significantly to the aesthetic appeal of the driveway.
